Friday Mixtape Volume 41

Friday Mixtape Volume 41Oh, happy Friday The Thirteenth! First: I want to a special thank you out to a reader who gave me a big shit-eatin' grin earlier this week. Stereogum.com is undoubtedly one of the biggest music/MP3 blogs out there, and I get a lot from them, and certainly respect (and envy) them. So when they posted on Damien Rice's new track this week, I wanted to see what other Stereogum readers thought of it. As I scrolled through the user comments, I came across an entry:

This was in SF's Mixtape #38

your slow.

That's awesome! Thank you Frank! (Frank's left me comments, but never his email, so I can't thank him directly) See, I occasionally do get on to something before Stereogum gets all over it. And of course, thank you to all the other people who send me comments and messages.

Anyway, in trying to keep the quality of the mix up to par, there's pleanty of new stuff on this week's mixtape- new Amos Lee. New Comfies (who rocked The 585 last weekend). New Rasmus. New Damien Albarn project. New bands Can Joann, Vega 4, Mexico 70, & This Is My Suitcase. New entity The Black Ghosts! (Anyone have the scoop on this? Who is it? Simon Lord and ???) On and on…

The cover photo comes again from the amazing Flickr.com collection of iboy_daniel. I knew I'd come back to his work, and probably will again.

Download it HERE while you can!
