Ah, finally Friday! This has been a crazy week, and I'm absolutely glad to be done with it! I'm a bit tired, and think I have a chest cold that I can't explain right now, but I'm ready for the weekend- starting with a Thrashers game tonight! Also on the schedule: Chelsea play at 10 am (US EDT) tomorrow, immediately followed by my own team playing at 12:30. Beers then soccer anyone? Sunday is Unplugged in the Park at Park Tavern, with Athens' Modern Skirts, and my good friend and musical genius, Deke Spears. If you're in the Atlanta area, I encourage you to come out and spend the evening in the park with me!
This week last year saw the first entry from Air Traffic in the SFFM, and I heard this song on the radio this week, so I thought it fitting to include. Dave Grohl said something about his little daughter loving the new AvA single (on SFFMv137)- I agree, and submit that he should play her Breathe. I was so happy to hear the new Ting Tings track on Radio1 this week, because they are 2/3 of one of my favorite acts from last year, Eskiimo. Things for Eskiimo didn't work, so Katie and Jules branched out, and are getting mad reviews for thier tracks (and, apparently, their mad parties too).
Some new stuff on the mix this week that I haven't exactly had a good chance to listen to yet (that's why it's there- I listen to my own mixes!), but I'd love to hear what you think of Dos, The Grates, Trouble Andrew, David Ford and Emily King. Leave me comments, and have a great weekend!
