Three tracks from Matthew Sweet’s new album, Sunshine Lies, are streaming from his website and myspace page. The album is due out August 26th, and marks his first solo album since 2004. The album was recorded, mixed and produced by Sweet at his studios in LA.

So, there’s a new look to SquirrelFood today. This change was not by choice though- the Wordpress update earlier this week broke my theme, and while trying to “hack” a workaround to some things, I broke it further. Now, I’m stuck with a half-assed theme that I’m not crazy about, but I’ll try to make work. Hopefully, I’ll find some time this weekend to either modfiy the these to my liking, or find one I do like. Either way, I hope all this rearrangement isn’t too comfusing. I know a lot of readers are reading via RSS anyway, and the theme is irrelevant. If anyone knows of a great theme that would suite SF, please let me know.

Wordpress issued a new upgrade this week and like a fool, I went ahead and installed it before checking to see if the current template would work. It doesn’t, and the new version seems buggier than the last. So, please bear with me while I try to sort out SquirrelFood.

Whew, rain has finally come to the ATL, but now it’s just hot AND humid. I’m knee-deep in projects and contracts, and barely know what’s going on this weekend, but I’ve got some good music for you, whatever you’re up to. Not much else to say, so just enjoy the weekend and the download!

Another track for LiLo and SamRo, and this one’s so much better than Katy Perry:

Ran across an interesting article on TechCrunch this week on last.fm. Besides being one of my favorite places to get 128kbps MP3’s of new artists on the web (just check your cache after streaming a track), they are bucking the system when it comes to paying royalties. Indie artists no longer need to share give up part most of their rolayites to soundexchange for songs playing at last.fm. The company pays royalties out directly to unsigned artists.
