Brit Award nomiations for 2006 are out- I generaly find these more interesting than the Grammys, even if they’re both just over-hyped music industry ploys to generate interest in last year’s albums. In the runnings this year for Brit awards are the likes of James Blunt (Male Solo Artist, Album, Single, Brekathrough Act, and Pop Act), KT Tunstall (Female Solo Artist, Breakthrough Act, Live Act, Natasha Bedingfield (Female Solo Artist), Hard-Fi (Group, Rock Act), and Magic Numbers (Breakthrough Act). Compared to this year’s Grammy noms, that’s a stellar list! The unfortunate side of the Brit noms this year is the fact that Coldplay made the list 4 times, even though they’re latest album is jus tmore of the same crap.
