Whew…so many things going on today…it's hard to know where to start, so I'm going to go chronologically:

NOW: new music!
Well, actually today's new releases of note are mostly sorta-new releases, as several of them have been out in the UK for a minute now.

Goldfrapp - Supernature
	There's just something about Alison Goldfrapp's airy vocals that appeals to me. Lying somewhere between Annie and Imogen Heap, Goldfrapp is catchy and poppy, but always tinged with a hint of melancholy. Goldfrapp - Number 1
Corinne Bailey Rae - Like A Star (Single)
	Corinne Bailey Rae makes a stab at the US market by releasing this three-track single version of Like A Star- the song that really pushed her into the spotlight in the UK. Bailey Rae's smokey vocals and heartaching inflection give this song it's power to melt first-time listeners within just seconds of hearing it. Corinne bailey Rae - Like A Star
Isobel Campbell & Mark Lanegan - Ballad Of The Broken Seas
Former Belle & Sebastian Campbell and ex-Screaming Trees' Lanegan put together an album fit or a Tarantino film soundtrack- retro recording methods, tremello guitar leads, and the use of cheesy sound effects (whip crack in Ramblin' Man) all come together quite nicely. Campbell seems to fall right in to the boots of Nacy Sinatra on this. Campbell & Lanegan - Ramblin' Man

Honestly, other tan the US releases of albums already out, there isn't much in new releases today.

2:45 PM:Chelsea vs. Barcelona The blues need to win by at least two goals in this second leg to ge tpast the 2-1 loss in the first leg two weeks ago. I'll be listening at the office- join me online.

6:00 PM: Fighting Hellfish vs. Ajax  My first soccer match! Drinks after the match at Meehan's on Peachtree.

9:00 PM: Eller @ 10 High
