Mercury Prize Nominations Announced

Nominees for the 2006 Mercury Music Prize were announced today from the official website fo rthe prize. The Mercury Prize is one of the UK’s most prestigious awards in music, and is presented yearly to one British or Irish artist. The winner wil be announced in a ceremony on September 5.
