Welcome, everyone, to May. Cinco de Mayo is this weekend, so you should all enjoy a Margarita of the like as I plan to. As I sit here trying to come up with something witty or smart to say about the music on this week's mixtape, I find I'm coming up completely blank. So, here it is short and simple: It's all great music. Linkin Park sounds more emo. Mandy Moore is one of my guilty pleasures. That's it, enjoy.
In recognition of another great drinking holiday, I found this tasty macro shot of some of those sweet-n-sour fruits that both serve as the mixer base for Margaritas, and compliment a Corona well. These, by someone calls himself just FLM. Enjoy your margaritas and beer this weekend!
Download it HERE while you can:

Britney Spears returned to performing last night, after three years of getting married, knocked up, drunk, skanked out, and finally- bald. House Of Blues San Diego was the location for this 'secret' show under the fake band name The M+M's. The singer performed just 5 songs, including Toxic and Baby One More Time, and finished in less than 20 mintues. Some crazed idiots paid up to $125 on sites like Craig's List for tickets to the show…wait is 20 minutes still called a show?

So R. Kelly took some time from his busy schedule of touring, writing ridiculous hip-hoperas, and sexually assulting minors to write a ballad inspired by the recent events at Virginia Tech. The track will be released digitally on May 15 on Jive Records, who will donate 100% of the profits to the Hokie Spirit Memorial Fund. The effort might be well-intended, but the clip of the track on R's myspace leaves me thinking "what good is 100% of the profits, if nobody buys the crapy track?". I'm sure I'll be proven wrong…there are still R. Kelly fans in the world…somewhere.
Freestyle rap prodigy Jin has also done a tribute to the victims at VT- which you can download from his myspace site.
