Week 26 - that's half way through the year for those who are counting. So, because I had planned it, and because I'm lazy, and because I wanted a best-of mix for the summer, I've pulled tracks from teh past 25 mixptapes for this week's SFFM. 30 of the best, all in one week. Enjoy.

I've been a lazy blogger this week again, and just heard yesterday about the Led Zeppelin reunion…but before I got around to posting on it today, read that it was a rumor, and Robert Plant is having none of that. From Javno.com:
"Robert Plant has mercilessly shot down rumours about a possible Led Zeppelin reunion for a memorial concert in honour of their late record company boss Ahmet Ertegun." Read the article here.
Look at me, rolling in here all last minute to post the mixtape. It's been yet another very busy week, with a full schedule weekend. But I never forget you- those who look for the SFFM on Fridays, well, at least not yet. This week is a little rap-heavy, which kinda makes up for the lack of anythign good in the genre around here lately.
Look for the mid-year review mixtape, coming next week- It's shaping up to be a mega-mix of my favorites from the year-so-far!

Just saw this on Stereogum, and it's pretty representative of what I saw a few months ago in ATL… I still love Lily, plus I needed a filler this week. Mixtape will be running late.
Sheesh, what a week. Nothing really stood out for me this week, but I've managed to pull together some tracks for the Mixtape here. Thanks to Leah and her Confessions of a Music Addict for pointing out the Rondo Brothers, and Come Pick Me Up for Wesley Jensen, and The Yellow Stereo for Club 8. Thanks to Fado Irish Pub for bringing an all-time favorite, Freddy Jones Band, to Buckhead tomorrow. And, thank whoever or whatever you will that it's freakin' Friday! Time for me to head over to the aforementioned Pub and down a few pints…have a great weekend!

I admit: I did choir in High School. But we didn't get to sing modern 'punk' bands, no. There was no Wine Red, or anything like it, in our repertoire. We sang It Had To Be You and thought it was cool. Anyway, the outstanding arrangement was done by a Junior in the group, and I'm sure there are parts in High School Musical 3 for the entire gang.
Ouch, it's been a busy week, and I've managed to go from one mixtape to another with no posts in between! I really suck at this whole bloogin thing. But, I did manage to wrangle up some tracks for the Friday Mixtape. Not much else to say about them, because I've listened to each one exactly ONCE this week, and will really get to know them this weekend. Let me know what you think of 'em.
