It's been kinda like having an extra weekend, pinched right in the middle of the week, with the all-american holiday here. I think we should have a mid-week day off every week- or maybe every other week. This week's mixtape is a grand jumble of genres, spanning hip-hop to country-rock.
It's titled "Red Hot Anemone", but it's just a firework, celebrating 231 years of American independance. Boom. Payal Vora took it.

Hey, special thanks to Dougie in the UK who emailed me this morning to let me know that I was missing Mr. Dave Grohl on Radio1. IF you've read this blog for long, you know I LOVE me some FOO FIGHTERS! Grohl, frequently referred to as the nicest guy in rock and roll, was on the station to chat and play a few snippets of NEW Foo's material on an acoustic guitar in the studio!
