Friday Mixtape Volume 131
jamie on August 3rd, 2007
I've played football (Soccer) three nights in a row this week, and I am hurtin'. But it hasn't kept me from putting together a proper good mixtape for this weekend. I'm kicking off this mix with two performers that will be playing here at Park Tavern on Sunday: BEn Kweller and Willy Mason. I was stoked to see Mason, but the addition of Kweller makes it just that much better. After those, there's just all kinds of new music goodness- like that Foos I posted yesterday, before anyone else. I've had the Aesop Rock in my car all week, and even though I know it's J. Darnielle (of the The Mountain Goats, who was born in my hometown) singing in there- I always think it sounds like Scorpions. Sorry dude. Anyway, listen to the mix, leave comments, and have a great weekend!
Pennies on a train track image by Brett Weinstein, in honor of this Sunday's Ben Kweller show. Brett claims the ATL as one of his homes. Dig it.
