Atlantis Report :: The Lord Is My Shotgun
Jamie Kohns on September 24th, 2007
I saw lots of bands over the weekend, thanks to the Atlantis Music Festival. While I'm playing catch-up in general this week, I'll try to update with some of the acts that impressed me over the weekend. For themost part, I stayed at one venue (Smith's Olde Bar) all weekend, as transfering from one venue to another always results in lost time and opportunitie to hear new music. So, I spent most of the nights drifting between the full main stage performers and the shorter acoustic sets in Smith's Atlanta Room.

One of the advantages of Smith's main stage is that it's large enough to accomodate full groups, and give them room to move. And movement is what makes The Lord Is My Shotgun's Chance Wall so cool. Chance energizes the stage- strutting, leaping, and reaching to the sky with the microphone as if to usher lightning bolts from Zeus direcctly into his veins.
