Not only is the preordering process for In Rainbows unconventional, so is the hype. No pre-releases, no promos, no online streams. Just a full-world release on the 10th. And I've even read that each box set is being made to order? Also, it appears this entire endevor is being done without the help of a label. Tom Breihan covers it best in the Village Voice, and iGif's Nathaniel throws in his two cents with some radiohead covers well worth listening to.
