Welcome to 2008 everyone! I trust you all enjoyed yourselves in moderation and with safety first in mind over the holiday this week… Starting off the new year with new music is a great idea! I’m glad I thought of it. I’ve very cleverly pre-chosen the cover image for this week’s Friday Mixtape to link with last week’s close-up of crayons, to add significance to the visual aspect of my weekly project as it heads into it’s third year.
First off, if you’re in ATL, my friend Berg is playing at East Andrews in Buckhead tonight. EA is always packed with really good looking people, and they have beer. Music, hotties and beer. New stuff from Athens’ The Whigs this week, along with BSP and Chris Walla (Death Cab for Cutie), and a demo track from Hoosiers Margot & The Nuclear So and So’s.
