Friday Mixtape Volume 425

Friday Mixtape Volume 425So, this is probably going ot be the shortest mixtape in SquirrelFood history, but I just don’t have it in me to flush out the mix after today’s disappointing World Cup results (expecially, the officiating). Hopefully, USA will come back extra strong against Algeria to push into the next round. Until next week, enjoy:

World Cup!!!!

The 2010 World Cup kicks off tomorrow, so don’t be surprised if my posting becomes even more infrequent than usual.

To celebrate the start of the most important sporting in event in the world (uh, yeah, that’s a fact) they’re broadcasting the kickoff concert on Vevo right now! I love technology.

Scheduled to perform this concert is Angelique Kidjo, with John Legend & some guy named Bono, doing her version of Curtis Mayfield’s Move On Up. Great song, great performance featuring dancers from the Broadway musical Fela! Dig it:
