Ashton Allen Drops 2 New Albums at B&N

Ashton Allen didn’t let the demise of his record label, Atlanta’s failed Livewire Recordings, slow him down. Instead, he’s been working out of his South Florida studio with partner Devin Moore producing music for TV, Films, and commercials. Oh- and he’s recorded two albums, which are available exclusively at Barnes & Noble November 4th. The first is titled Wellspring and is the follow-up to 2005’s Dewdrops. The second release is a holiday album.

Ashton’s career actually started with an entirely different swing- he was part of southeastern college rock staple Big Sky. Only after a label gave his home demos a listen did his solo career begin. His first solo album, Dewdrops got airplay around the country on AAA and college radio, got TV time on What About Brian, Six Degrees, and Wildfire (what ever happened to Six Degrees? I loved that show), and gave Ashton the opportunity to tour the country playing in Barnes & Noble’s “Discover Great Music program”.
